Site presentation
HAROPA PORT is strengthening its energy transition strategy by deploying, at the port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne, a driveable photovoltaic plant using Wattway technology.
The site has a parking area offering a suitable surface for integrating a self-consumption solar installation. The system installed thus transforms this zone into a renewable electricity-producing space without disrupting its use.
How the
system works?
The Wattway plant installed on the parking area entered into service in early October. Its annual production is estimated at around 20 MWh, fully consumed by the port’s buildings. This output will also cover nearly 25% of the energy consumption of the adjacent office building. The energy generated directly supplies the site’s needs, avoiding any transmission through the grid and optimizing production efficiency.
Wattway oversaw the entire project: engineering, system supply, and installation of the driveable photovoltaic modules, designed to withstand road use while capturing solar energy.

Why did HAROPA PORT
choose Wattway ?
HAROPA PORT wanted to develop a local energy solution suited to a heavily used port environment where available land is limited. The Wattway technology meets these constraints by making it possible to use surfaces that are already in operation without altering their function.
With Wattway PLUS, HAROPA PORT demonstrates that renewable energy production can be integrated directly into existing infrastructure.
The Bonneuil-sur-Marne site thus becomes a concrete example of intelligent land use and a commitment to clean energy produced as close as possible to where it is needed.
