Wattway is a French innovation driven by the collaboration of Colas, a world leader in transport infrastructures, and the CEA-Liten laboratory, within the INES.2S ITE. It is the first circulable photovoltaic coating in the world that provides electricity through solar energy, clean and renewable, while allowing the circulation of vehicles.
The Wattway slab has just been certified according to the IEC standards in force in the photovoltaic sector, like any standard solar panel, an exciting result and a world first for a circulable module.
Colas tested the Wattway solar slabs to IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certification standards and the results were all unqualified.
With its certifications, Wattway ensures the long-term reliability of the modules, similar to that of conventional photovoltaic panels.
Installed in car parks, ports, airports, bike paths, pedestrian areas and other existing roadways, Wattway offers the pooling of spaces while producing renewable electricity for local self-consumption.
